01. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using html4pdf ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

02. Description of Service

html4pdf is a privacy-first API service that converts HTML, URLs, and templates to PDF documents. The Service operates on a credit-based system where users purchase credits to generate PDFs. Our stateless architecture ensures your documents are never stored.

03. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys. Never share your API keys publicly or commit them to version control.

04. Payment and Credits

• → Credits are purchased through Stripe payment processing
• → Synchronous requests (HTML/templates) cost 1 credit per PDF
• → Asynchronous requests (URLs/webhooks) cost 2 credits per PDF
• → Credits never expire
• → Credits are non-refundable once purchased
• → New users receive 10 free credits upon registration

05. API Usage & Privacy

• → API keys must be kept secure and not shared
• → Rate limits may apply to prevent abuse
• → Zero Storage: Generated PDFs are never stored on our servers
• → Stateless Processing: HTML/URL content is processed in memory only
• → No data retention, logging, or caching of document content
• → GDPR and HIPAA compliant by architectural design

06. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• → Generate content that violates applicable laws
• → Process malicious or harmful content
• → Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• → Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

07. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows and occasional downtime may occur. We will provide advance notice when possible.

08. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or financial losses.

09. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for violations of these terms. You may cancel your account at any time through the dashboard. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, but unused credits remain non-refundable.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
